As a Pollinator Conservation Specialist and Partner Biologist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, Erin assists farmers, private forestland owners and other conservation practitioners with pollinator conservation efforts throughout the state of Maine. This work includes planning and designing new habitat for pollinators as well as providing guidance on best management practices for maintaining existing habitat resources.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. After earning her degree, she worked as a vegetable farm apprentice in New Hampshire and then dove into private lands conservation, working for a Soil and Water Conservation District in Illinois and the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Maine. Outside of conservation work, Erin grows lots of flowers and vegetables and coaches cross country runners at a local high school.
